South Texas Investigative Services

The owner of South Texas Investigative Services is Gerard Charles Serrata. Gerard graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Police Administration.

He was a member of the Brownsville Police Department from 1997 until his retirment in the summer of 2021. Gerard spent the majority of his police career in the Criminal and Special Investigation unit. He retired as the Commander of the Investigative Services Unit, providing oversight to over sixty Investigators.

In 2005, Gerard founded South Texas Investigative Services in Brownsville, Texas. He is a member of the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators. In the past several years, Gerard has worked numerous private investigations for corporations and individual clients
